Largest Offering Of Collector Cars On Florida's Gold Coast Up For Auction In Boca Raton

BLENHEIM, Ontario, Canada January 20 2004---After its successful inaugural sale last year, RM Classic Cars returns to the fabulous Royal Palm Polo Grounds in Boca Raton, Florida for its annual Collector Car Auction weekend, February 6-8, 2004. The three-day event offers a spectacular selection of more than 400 high-performance muscle cars, sports and classics, rare factory original models and a selection of rare, award-winning vehicles. Many are from private collections and will be offered at "no reserve".

"This weekend will once again be the classic car event of the year. It's by far the biggest sale on the Gold Coast and the quality and selection of cars in the lineup is amazing," says Rob Myers, founder of RM Classic Cars and RM Auctions Inc. "Based on the response so far, we are expecting a record crowd of car enthusiasts from across the U.S. who come to buy and sell investment quality collector cars." In addition to the cars, over 300 lots of automotive antiques and memorabilia will also be up for bids.

Some of the rare and desirable vehicles available at the Boca Raton auction include:

· 1942 Packard 180 Darrin Victoria – The last of the true classic "open" Packards, this is one of only 14 Darrin-designed Victoria versions built in 1942. With its eye-catching swept-down signature "Darrin-dip" doors and elegant styling, this multiple National prize winner may be the finest restored example of this model to be found anywhere in the world.

· 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Coupe 454 - One of Detroit's finest muscle cars with just 33,000 original miles, matching numbers, build sheet, copy of orig. invoice, title and registration. Factory 4-speed M-22 Rock Crusher, tinted glass, gauge package and 7K tach. Known as America's most powerful production hardtop.

· 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing - Offered here is a fully restored concours quality Gullwing finished in red with saddle interior. It is complete with many of the desirable accessories including a Becker-Mexico radio and belly pans. This highly desirable Mercedes is a strong running example that has been pampered and driven only sparingly since its quality restoration. This example is being sold without reserve, and will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of price.

· 1949 Kurtis Kraft Muntz Jet Roadster – Frank Kurtis, a leading builder of Indy and
dirt track race cars, in 1949 produced a prototype sports car with high performance and low-slung lines that was re-engineered by entrepreneur Earl Muntz in 1950 to include a back seat and Hydra-Matic drive. Of the Muntz Jets produced, only 49 survive today. Considered a rare example of America's first production sports car, it features a removable hardtop and a factory-installed Lincoln flathead V8.

· 1928 Bugatti Type – Formerly part of the William Harrah Collection, this wonderful French Roadster is fully restored, mechanically and cosmetically and is an exceptional entry for the many Bugatti Club events throughout the world. A truly unique example, this eight-cylinder Bugatti is indeed one-of-a kind offering sporting coachwork and the 3.0 liter Ettore Bugatti eight cylinder powerplant. A great classic car for touring or showing and will be sold at no reserve.
